Mission & Vision
- The InGEMICS-CM program has a marked inter-institutional and integrative character and aims to promote a multidisciplinary, coordinated and disruptive innovation research among groups of international prestige in order to place the Community of Madrid as a technological and scientific reference in Quantitative Microbiology and Precision Medicine.
- The groups and laboratorios integrated in the InGEMICS-CM program have an important scientific background and extensive experience in working together in a coordinated way, since they have participated in previous programs also granted by the CM (DeRe Microbiana and PROMPT). This places them in an optimal situation to lead the transition from a Descriptive Microbiology towards a Quantitative Microbiology based in standarized metrologies that allow targeted and effective interventions with high biotechnological capacity and socioeconomical impact. A significant number of biomedicine and biotecnology companies placed at the Community of Madrid also participate in the program. They conform the InGEMICS-CM-Companies Forum that is a lively and efficient platform for knowledge and technology transfer to the productive sector.
- InGEMICS-CM also seeks to attract and retain talent through the incorporation, integral training and promotion of a scientific career of pre- and post-doctoral researchers, as well as the dissemination and stimulation of the scientific culture in the society.
